Invisible Strength - The media site for MARKHAM - Adding Life to Concrete

Heat Causing Deterioration? Concrete in the mining industry.

When pouring new concrete, high ambient temperatures (over 35°C) are a challenge, causing early cracking, and setting up the concrete for early deterioration.

It is critical to de-risk the concrete by mitigating the impact of high temperatures.

At MARKHAM we recommend the use of hydrogel admixture and spray-applied treatment.

The admixture improves workability and evens out the internal moisture content of the mix.

The spray-applied treatment enhances curing, providing high-quality hydration and reduced evaporation.

There is no need to grind off the curing treatment on completion, and the treatment cannot be removed or damaged over time. The concrete is protected permanently.
